With the
V-22 Osprey swooping down on the Taliban, the F-35B Lightning
II spreading its
vertical
wings, the X2 demonstrator expected to set speed records, and new
powered lift concepts
emerging, 2010 promises to be a banner year! October
2010
also marks the 50th anniversary of the first tethered flight of the
Hawker
P.1127 – the forerunner of the Harrier jump jet.
The
International Powered Lift Conference (IPLC) is the premier event
for engineers, technologists and managers to discuss the latest
developments in
jet, prop and rotor Vertical and/or Short Take-Off and Landing (V/STOL)
aircraft research, concepts and programs. It is the only event focused
on the technologies,
promise and progress of powered lift systems, with applications ranging
from
advanced rotorcraft to jet-borne vertical flight aircraft to cruise
efficient
short take-off and landing aircraft.
IPLC 2010 is hosted by
AHS
International and cosponsored
by
the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), SAE
Aerospace and
the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
IPLC is the
international crossroads for advanced vertical flight
concepts and technologies – this is the preeminent showcase for powered
lift.
Come celebrate this event in Philadelphia – explore the birthplace of
the nation
and glimpse the future of international V/STOL development efforts.
See you in Philly!
